New Menu Now Here
Looking for a contemporary twist to traditional Thai food?
We’ve been wo(r)king hard behind the scenes to make our brand new menu one to remember. We’re expanding our plant-based and gluten-free Thai dishes, whilst also introducing an element of theatre to your dining experience.
With the new a la carte menu came the birth of our new celebratory set menus too including a selection of our favourite flavours for you to enjoy all in one sitting. Do you want to know what features?
Well, each of our recipes carefully considers the four essential Thai flavour profiles; sweet, salty, spicy and sour. If you have been lucky enough to visit Thailand before, you’ll know that a lot of dishes include all four of these flavours (especially those straight off the street food vendors in Bangkok!) but at least two feature in each of the delicious Thai recipes on our menus.
Here’s a sneak peak at some of our delicious recipes!
Yellow Curry Stir Fry (See Krong Moo Yang), Tender Pork Spare Ribs (See Krong Nua) and slow-cooked Beef Short Ribs in creamy Panang sauce also feature on our new food menu and we highly recommend!
Our launch has also welcomed an array of new seafood dishes such as, Gaeng Som, a hot and sour curry with seabass or jumbo prawns, Scottish Scallops served with mango and black pudding, and Goong Prik Klua, Jumbo Butterfly Salt and Pepper Praws with stir-fried with onions, peppers and chilies topped with crispy shallots.
One particular stand-out seafood dish is our Miang Kham, a truly traditional Thai starter. This flavour-packed dish hasn’t been spotted in many UK Thai restaurants before. Our must-try classic includes crispy salmon, ginger, red onion, peanuts, lime, chilli and palm sugar, hand-wrapped in betel leaves.
The new menu falls in line with our wider goal of increasing our offering towards those with dietary requirements through incorporating more vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options. With this in mind, you will find that you can now request two-fifths of the a la carte dishes to be made vegan, you can find all of these dishes under ‘From the Garden’ sections. A separate Vegan Menu and Gluten Free menu are also now available on request.
Although we have incorporated some new and exciting flavours to our menus, we’re committed to keeping your all time favourites firmly in their place, alongside the best sellers such as the famous Massaman Curry (which also ranked first place in ‘The World’s 50 best foods’!). You will also find Thai Green Curry, Pad Thai, Chicken Cashew and Sweet and Sour remaining on the a la carte menu having been revamped with new ingredients, presentation, and crockery.
The new menu launch was inspired by the movement towards taking Chaophraya's Thai dining experience to the next level and elevating each customer’s ‘at table’ experience. This includes bringing an ‘element of theatre’ to the table through interactive food experiences such as; hot plates, pouring sauces, personalised dish customisation and enhancing the premium experience through colour, vibrancy and crockery.
You can try our carefully crafted new menu across our six Chaophraya venues in Aberdeen, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds and Newcastle. Our aim is to deliver a taste of Thailand for you to fall in love with as much as we have by offering the ultimate premium, yet traditional, Thai dining experience, in whichever of our restaurants you decide to choose.
