From 6^th – 12^th March 2023, female diners can enjoy a free glass of fizz when they quote International Women’s Day when booking to dine with us.

Here at Thai Leisure Group we like to reflect on the incredible journey our owner Khun Kim has been on in her life and celebrate girl power! As a day that celebrates the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women around the world – we’d say she’s worth shouting about.

Kim is the real inspiration and beating heart of all 6 of our Chaophraya restaurants. Growing up in a rural village just over 400km north of Bangkok her love for all things food stemmed from early life cooking lessons she received from her mum.

Aged just 15 she travelled south and set up her first ever Pad Thai stall in Thailand’s capital city. On that very stall is where she met her life and business partner Martin. A few short years later she made the move to Leeds and opened her first restaurant.

Although the setting may have changed, the passion and soul behind our concept is beating as strong as it once was.

From trailblazers and historic figures to the everyday heroes working hard to make the world a better place, International Women's Day is an opportunity to honour female accomplishments, just as we spend every day doing in the Thai Leisure Group family.
