Serving up safety and eating with ease at Chaophraya

It may be a surprise to learn that there are now 1 in 4 people living with allergies in the UK, that is a lot of us! Allergy Awareness Week aims to raise awareness and empower those who suffer from allergies. We understand that for those with allergies it may be difficult to decide where to eat, we’re here to fill all our guests with confidence and assure you that all our restaurants allergy procedures are of the highest standard. At Chaophraya we take food allergen safety seriously, we truly care about all our guests and ensure every dining experience is a relaxed and safe one which is why we have a strict allergen procedure across our brand.

We understand that taste and safety really do complement each other. All our staff have had food allergy and intolerance training and all guests are asked if they have an allergy or dietary requirement upon being seated. We regularly review our allergen procedure to ensure that our guests feel as comfortable as possible when dining with us. This includes hosting refresher training to all team members on a regular basis and highlighting the importance on all new team member inductions. To cater for guests safely, and ensure there is something for everyone, we have developed a QR code system which when scanned takes you to our specific allergen menu. This menu is designed to help every guest with allergies, intolerances, or specific dietary requirements, make an informed choice and get the best possible information about our authentic Thai food. Guests input their specific allergy or dietary into a check box which then automatically displays all the dishes they can enjoy, within seconds. You can view our allergen menu here.

One of our key values ‘Ha Dao’ (meaning ‘Five Star’) encompasses the belief and delivery of a five-star experience for our guests, every single time. Our thorough and detailed training ensures our team follow best practice procedures in our kitchens and take steps to minimise the risk of foods encountering other food products, delivering that five-star experience. Although we cannot guarantee all our dishes are free from allergens due to the risk of cross-contaminations, we do everything possible to minimise the risk. Guests with food allergies are communicated with managers only, as we know how serious allergies are, and every dish is examined by our Head Chef to approve before serving. We want everybody who dines with us to be able to eat with confidence and in doing so means our staff are attentive to every detail of every guest, embracing ‘Ow Jai Sai’ (meaning ‘Caring from the heart’), another corner stone value of Chaophraya.

We know how important it is to remove allergens without compromising on taste so make sure you visit us to experience the very best of Thai cooking at a restaurant you can trust, we would love to welcome you and cater for all your needs. To book a table please click here.
