A celebration of Pad Thai Day with Chaophraya

The perfect gift or treat for you

National Pad Thai Day 2021 is just around the corner and we’re hosting a cooking masterclass to remember. Celebrating the national dish of Thailand and two of our most loved dishes, we’ll be cooking up a storm of Chef Kim’s famous chicken Pad Thai and handmade prawn and chicken dumplings.

The end goal of a Chaophraya cooking masterclass is to make you fall in love with our Thai food and culture just as much as we have. Learning about the way our dishes are prepared will come with an abundance of knowledge of the culture behind them.

‘Cooking schools are a great chance to bond with loved ones and try your hand at something new. Learning about the Thai culture is a real bonus. The dumplings are a lot of fun to prepare, and it is great to see the delicacy that some guests can approach them with - no matter what, they will always taste amazing and you can enjoy them together in your Chaophraya aprons and chef hats’ – Jasmine, Glasgow

We know that the best Thai food comes from using the freshest ingredients, along with the skilful art of preparation and combining the right ingredients at the right time to create a delectable dish. Alongside this, love and care are just as important in ensuring that your dish turns out exactly how it would in a Chaophraya restaurant.

The four essential flavours embodied into our Thai recipes include sweet, spicy, salty and sour, with every dish incorporating at least two of these four flavours with one holding dominance.

We’ll provide all the necessary facilities for you to enjoy an interactive and engaging session. Our instructors are experts at what they do, so as well as offering warm and friendly encouragement, they’ll personalise their approach to the needs of each individual student.

On arrival, you can expect fruit punch, an introduction to Thai ingredients and where to source them locally. After watching a short demonstration, you will try your hand at cooking the two dishes, followed by the big reveal tasting session. An added extra is that you can take your recipe cards and aprons home with you, as well as a Chaophraya voucher for £10!

You can attend our Pad Thai Day Cooking School at any of our six Chaophraya venues in Aberdeen, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds and Newcastle. With limited spaces available, book your place now to avoid disappointment.

“I have missed the cooking schools! I used to cook at home with my family in Thailand and the group brings back those fond memories. My favourite dish to show would be our Pad Thai, it is authentic, the National Dish of Thailand and I think is a great dish to introduce you into Thai cooking.” – Chef Alex, Regional Chef.

We hope to see you soon!
