AN EVENING TO REMEMBER

On 6th December 2004 - 20 years ago today - we opened the doors to our first restaurant in Leeds.

What started as a dream has grown into an incredible journey - one filled with hard work, passion, and the unwavering support of the people around us. Over two decades, Chaophraya has evolved into a name synonymous with exceptional Thai cuisine and unforgettable dining experiences, a legacy we are immensely proud of.

This past Friday, we celebrated this milestone in style, surrounded by those who have been part of our story. It was an evening filled with gratitude, reflection, and joy as we honoured the journey that brought us here and the people who made it all possible.

A MEMORABLE OCCASION

We welcomed 175 amazing guests, including devoted regulars, trusted suppliers, and cherished friends who have supported us through the years. From the moment they arrived, greeted with a champagne reception, the atmosphere was one of warmth and celebration.

The highlight of the night came when our founders, Kim and Martin, and our Managing Director, Ian, shared the story of us so far. Their heartfelt speeches took us through Kim's story, the highs and lows of the past 20 years, reflecting on the lessons learned, the challenges faced, and the incredible moments that have shaped who we are today. It was a powerful and emotional reminder of how far we’ve come, thanks to a shared vision and an extraordinary community.

TEAM EFFORT

A massive thank you and congratulations are due to our team, who executed the event to perfection. From the stunning décor to the impeccable service and catering, their hard work ensured that every guest felt cared for and the evening ran seamlessly. Their dedication was a great example of our core values, especially Ha Dao (service excellence).

KHOP KHUN KA

As we look back on the past 20 years, we are filled with gratitude for all who have been part of this journey. From our dedicated teams to our loyal guests, your support has been the cornerstone of our success. This milestone isn’t just about reflecting on where we’ve been—it’s also about looking forward to the future with excitement and ambition.

Here’s to the next 20 years of Chaophraya and sharing Kim's passion for Thai cuisine for many years to come.
